Genre Research: The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight had an interesting Mis-en-Scene. The costumes used in this are suits and masks for the bad guys that Joker has for them and the bat suit for Batman. The location that's used is Gotham because all this is based in this one city. The famous actors that are used are Christian Bale and Heath Ledger both going against each other as bad guy versus good guy. The make-up used is for the ones who are injured in the movie. Some make-up used is the blood for the wounded. The props that are mostly focused on are guns and the armor or gadgets that Batman uses. Some of the settings that are used in the film are the bank in the beginning heist, the spot where Batman uses to know he is needed, and the classic garage parking that he goes against Batman.
The camera angles that are used are eye-level when the Joker is seen in the jail cell looking at the commissioner. Also, there is neck up shots when the commissioner interrogates Joker. There are multiple over the shoulder shots. There was a tracking shot when Batman slams Joker. When Batman gets also knocked out from a slam against a car and there's a zoom shot into Batman's face. There's a pan when the building explodes there's a pan from the building to the outside. Also, a tilt when the building that Rachel is in explodes.
The common sounds that are used are the scores and non-diegetic sound for the sound effects. They used this for the gunshots, exploding buildings, and car crashes. The editing effects were actually pretty bland because all this was natural and based on the acting the only frequently used editing effects were cross-cutting and cutaway. The elements that are used in the action genre are the story, characters, and setting. The elements that I enjoyed was the story because it was a personal attachment that Batman had on this one girl but was also balancing the life of crime that he has to go through. I was not appealed to the the setting because they were in dark area that were hard to see but I understood it was to make it more dramatic.
